The Beijing Ancient Observatory is located at the southwest corner of the Jianguomen Overpass in Dongcheng District. Please plan your visit accordingly.
1. The Beijing Ancient Observatory adopts a combination of on-site ticket purchases and online reservations.
2. The ticketing system of the Beijing Ancient Observatory is updated at 18:30 every day. Reservations can be made up to 7 days in advance (including the current day), with a limit of 6 tickets per order. All visitors (including those eligible for free admission) must purchase tickets under their real names. After successfully purchasing tickets, please visit the observatory strictly according to the designated time slot.
3. For visitors who have not made a reservation, the Beijing Ancient Observatory retains on-site ticket purchase channels. If the venue has not reached its maximum capacity, tickets can be purchased on-site.
4. Those eligible for free or discounted admission to the Beijing Ancient Observatory should make online reservations for the corresponding free or half-price tickets and bring relevant documents for inspection during the visit. Those who purchase adult tickets or half-price tickets can directly enter the observatory by scanning their ID cards or QR codes. Those who purchase free tickets must bring relevant documents that comply with the free discount policy to the manual ticket window to collect their tickets. The ticket code is valid for one entry.
5. You can apply for a refund for unverified tickets in the "View Order" section of this website. For regular visiting tickets, please apply for a refund at least 30 minutes before the end of the scheduled visiting time slot; for event tickets, the refund deadline is subject to the event notification. Tickets that have exceeded the refund deadline or have been verified will not be refunded or exchanged unless there are special circumstances. If you are unable to apply for a refund online, please go to the ticket office at least 30 minutes in advance to process the refund.
6. Visitors must wear masks throughout the visit and maintain a safe distance from others.
